Uetersen Airfield

Uetersen Airfield is an aerodrome near the town of Uetersen in the district of Pinneberg within the municipalities of Heist and Appen.
==History==
The military-airfield was renamed Marseille Barracks (''Marseille-Kaserne'') on 24 October 1975, after the German World War II fighter pilot Hans-Joachim Marseille.
The previously unknown private pilot Mathias Rust took off from here on May 13, 1987 flying a Cessna F172P, registration D-ECJB and owned by his flying club, starting his famous flight to Moscow, where he landed in Red Square.
The airfield was also the Air Force Museum Uetersen home since 1956 and was created in 1995 in a large-scale action to Berlin-Gatow was relocated, where today's Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr was born.
